Celebrating 17 Years

Seventeen years strong. One unforgettable race day.

The Omaha Triathlon returns to beautiful Lake Cunningham to celebrate its 17th year of racing, community, and competition. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, racing with friends, or stepping to the start line for the first time, this is your moment.

And here’s what makes it special…

The Omaha Triathlon is the ONLY Olympic Distance Triathlon in the State of Nebraska.

If you want the full Olympic-distance experience in Nebraska, this is it.

Olympic Distance

The Olympic distance is our main course for this event. Register as an individual or as a team. The distances consist of a 1500m swim, a 40km bike, and a 10K run.

SWIM – 1500 Meters, just under one mile.

BIKE – 20K

RUN – 10K

TEAM EVENTS – The Olympic distance triathlon is open for team registration. Teams may have either two or three athletes participate.

Sprint Distance

The sprint distance is 1/2 the distance of the olympic. The sprint swim waves start immediately following the olympic waves. Both the sprint and olympic race courses run concurrently.

SWIM – 750m (1/2 mile)

BIKE – 20K bike

RUN – 5K run

Schedule

Packet Pickup / Registration:

We strongly recommend picking up your race packet in advance. Packet pickup will be located just outside the transition area near the finish line on Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Your packet includes your bib number and sticker set, swim cap, numbered wristband, disposable timing chip, and race shirt.

All participants must present a valid photo ID to receive their packet.

Race packets will only be released to another individual with prior written authorization.

Participants may pick up their race packet race morning by 6:15 a.m.

Bike Drop-off for the Omaha Triathlon:

There is no mandatory bike drop-off on Saturday afternoon/evening. However, we recommend dropping off your bike on Saturday to avoid any capacity issues with our bike support and mechanics. Also, we can deal with any last-second issues, such as missing bar-end plugs, the day before the race versus race morning. If you plan to bring your bike to the race, please arrive with plenty of time to place your bike into transition. Bikes must have the Race Number sticker affixed and visible on the bike and correspond with the athlete’s number on the bracelet. No bikes will be allowed in transition once it is closed just prior to the race start.
